Getting settled
Welcome to the world of Kindergarten! We are settling in to a very active schedule- our new Core Standards, itinerants, and many, many movement breaks. Even though our students come from varied educational backgrounds, they all have a solid base knowledge- matching, color sorting, letter recognition, and beyond.
We are going to have lots of fun this year- learning and growing.

Welcome to Room 111
Welcome to McFerran Preparatory Academy's Room 111!
My name is Allison Varisco and I have the wonderful opportunity of teaching your child this year! I have been working with children since 1997, starting in the spring 2011 at McFerran. Prior to this, I was the Dean of Students at Maryhurst. I am married, have 2 little boys, and reside in Louisville.
Ms. Pamela and Ms. Francine are our amazing Educational Assistants! Combined, they have more than 20 years (experience) working with children. Their main objective is to assist with the educational process, assure all needs are met, and enable the class to work in small, structured groups.
